The 39-Story TreehouseThe 39-Story Treehouse by Andy Griffiths

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A super fast, funny read. I read it in about and hour 1/2, and I am a slow reader.
I started reading it to my children, since I thought they might like it. My 9 yr old took it and finished it themselves before going to sleep. They told me how awesome, and funny the book was, and "I have to read it mom."
It is a funny book, I laughed almost all the way through.
Andy and Terry are two friends living in a tree house and have made some really cool areas; baby dino petting zoo, netless trampoline, rollercoaster so scary dead people won't ride on it, and the chocolate waterfall (our family favorite).
Terry invents and Once-Upon-A-time machine, it will write their book. the machine kicks them out of the tree house, and the boys have to find a way to stop it. Let the adventure begin.
This is the first book I have read by these authors and will definantly look for the books that came before and the upcoming ones.
I have found a new favorite author.

Review: Conform: Exposing the Truth About Schools

Conform: Exposing the Truth About Schools Conform: Exposing the Truth About Schools by Glenn Beck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One thing I LOVE about Glenn Beck... He can elicit emotions and feeling about any subject matter. Wither you agree with him or not, you can't be a fence sitter when listening to him or reading his books. I think that is why I do like reading his books. Don't have to agree, but i do have to come to my own opinion.
I have always be against Common Core... and there is no way anyone would get me to put my children in the local public schools, but this has nothing to do with Common Core, and more about teachers, admin, and district standing.
Didn't know their was so many government/ private agendas levels involved in the placement of Common Core in the education system. Still I thought Glenn Beck would explain more about Common Core and What it is. Instead he totally ratted on BIG government (which I personally think has no business to take over education), and Unions, along with private financial backers.
Failing schools should be closed down regardless of public, charter, or private, if they are not putting our children first.
Parents have every right to educate and raise their children in the way they feel the best for their family. Government has NO busy telling me what to teach or how to raise my children.
If I could home school I would.
